Benefits of a Career in the NHS

NHS Pension
Scheme

Once you start to work with the NHS, you will automatically become eligible for the NHS pension.

Overtime

You can work overtime at hospitals, with 30-40% (of your basic pay) additional pay on top of your basic pay if you do on-calls and night shifts.

English Language, CBT & OSCE

Apollo will refund the expenses incurred towards IELTS/OET, CBT, and NMC applications.

Air Fare Allowance

The trust will refund your round-trip airfare.

Settle Down

Once your contract gets over, you can continue to work in the same trust hospital or move to another if needed.

Annual Leave

Junior doctors are entitled to 5 weeks of annual leave, whereas for Specialty Doctors, Specialists, and Consultants, it is 5-6 weeks, respectively.

Visa for Family

You can bring your spouse and children as they can accompany you as dependents. Apollo will assist you in arranging the visa, flight, and accommodations for your family where you will be responsible for covering the expenses.

Permanent Residence in the UK

You are entitled for permanent residency or 'Leave to Remain' after 5 years.

Salary

Doctors under the NHS receive a basic salary from £32,398 to £126,281 in the UK.
