Medical Foundation Programme.
Certificate in Medical Foundation Studies

The 9 months medical foundation programme is designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to apply for our 9 months Pre-Med course.

Students who pass this course with at least 60% are guaranteed a place on the Pre-Med course.

Students will develop their academic skills through taught modules in the natural sciences, including biology, chemistry and physics, alongside modules on medicine, disease and society and an independently led investigation.

A diverse range of student-centered learning and teaching methods are used, and the programme contains plentiful small-group, active learning sessions.

Eligibility

Higher Secondary (Grade 12) with 55% overall (including two sciences)
Tamil Nadu (Chennai) / Karnataka (Bangalore) – A minimum overall score of 65% at the end of Standard XII/Grade 12 with no less than 65% in Chemistry and Biology.
DDD at A-level to include Biology and Chemistry or Math or a combination of sciences and non-Sciences, with at least one B in Science or Math (total equivalent Tariff Points of 72) (or) IB score of 25 including HL3 in a Science or Math and 3 SL subjects
Alternative level 3 qualifications that demonstrate academic ability in the natural sciences
You are a suitably experienced mature student (i.e., an individual, who has been working in a non-science environment and would like a change of career or refresh your scientific background
As proof of English language proficiency, you must hold an IELTS UKVI or Academic Certificate of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component (or equivalent)
